I get asked a lot why I switched from an Apple Watch to a Garmin so here's my reasonings. I've had my Garmin for probably about 9 months and I have never been happier I am never gonna go back to Apple considering everything else that I own is pretty Everyone loves the Apple Watch because it's basically your phone on a watch If that's what you want, you wanna stick to Apple because having a Garmin is not like having your phone on your watch I miss a lot more phone calls and texts now that I don't have an Apple Watch but other than that, everything else is so much better on Garmin. The battery life Oh my gosh I used to charge my Apple Watch literally every single night or everyday so that I could wear it at night to track my sleep I think I have to charge my Garmin maybe every 5 days The next and this is probably my favourite part about Garmin is the fact that it really focuses more on overall health not so much closing your rings If you need the motivation to close your rings, Apple Watch can be great for that. Me personally, I've had a lot of unhealthy exercise habits in my lifetime and closing your rings even when you know you're exhausted or this like it can be very toxic for me. And it can be toxic for a lot of other women. That's another reason that I really wanted to get away from My favourite insight about the Garmin is the body battery Nobody understands how cool this feature is until you actually have it Body battery takes in account your sleep, your stress, your heart rate variability, how recovered you are from exercise from the previous day or whatever. There's so many things that goes into your body battery and it just put such a different perspective in on exercise and fueling your body and moving your body if I wake up and my body battery is at 50, I know that that body battery has to last me the whole day. I'm gonna take it easy whether that just be going for a walk or a light strength day, but nothing crazy. Whereas if I wake up and I'm at body battery 98 and I'm like, Like, I have a whole day's worth. I feel great. I feel rejuvenated. Let's get it. And that would be more when I would do an intense day. And some people think I'm crazy for following that so strictly, but I'm not kidding. It is so cool. I ran a 10K back in October of last year and my body battery was so low And the other thing that I really like is that it gives you hours of recovery. I needed, like, 92 hours of recovery after When I did high ropes back in June I think I needed like 87 hours of recovery or something. So that tells you that you need to rest, recover, and allow your body to just rejuvenate because you've over exerted yourself. And honestly, again, my toxic mindset back in the day, like, would kill for that now because it just gives me such a different perspective on health and nutrition and fitness and all the things. I love it. I love to look at the bigger picture. And Garmin puts a better light on overall health versus just closing your rings. But if you want a phone on your wrist, nothing's gonna beat Apple because you literally have it all right there. There's also different types of Garmins depending on what your overall goal is. I am not a big runner, but Garmins technically for runners because it is incredibly precise with your mileage. It tracks how much sweat you lose. it tracks exactly how many steps you took how many it it's way cool. I don't use that function that often because again, I'm not a runner. But if you are for sure missing out not having I need to know what your guys's favorite is, Apple or Garmin? Because when I switched, I have never been happier.
