So, I'm going to do something I've NEVER done before. Throughout the years, parents have come to the bakery with their daughter to share drawings with me and their passion for baking, and how much they follow my bakery and my journey, and I'm super grateful for that. For those of you who don't know, I work in an industry where at high levels, women are often the minority. I am fortunate enough to have parents and a husband who support me and supported me from the beginning. I also now have a team, that share the same passion and values. And I know not everyone has that kind of support. When I started sharing on social media, I had two goals. I wanted to showcase that the kitchen can be a place where people work really hard, but share a passion and laughter. The second was to inspire the next generation and show that craftsmanship still matters. I'm extremely proud of my team. They take pride in work that they do and the product that they make. And I really wanted to inspire the next generation on working hard for what you love and not taking shortcuts. As a woman who's built a business in this industry, I hope young girls can see someone they can relate to. I want them to know they belong in any kitchen or any places your passion take them to. That's why we're going to do something very special. I'm going to host my first ever FREE baking class for girls of the age between 12 and 16 years old. We're going to be touring the bakery, share some hot chocolate, we're going to make macarons together, and I'm going to answer any question that they have either about baking or running a business. Throughout my journey, it was very difficult for me to feel like there was a space for me as a female in this male dominant industry, So my purpose with this class is to show young girls that this is a place where they belong. I'd love to make it a regular event and continue investing in the next generation.
