My Mom coming home from work to a dirty sink

This boy I told him to do these damn dishes. Mason William, you better not be on that game. Huh? What? Mom, what are you doing home from work so early? Oh crap. Um, my bad. One more chapter. One more chapter turned into four. Um, I'll go do the dishes. I did take out the trash and do the laundry. Like I said I would though. Sorry. He forgot to do one chore because he was reading a book for fun. God, he's such a good kid. Even when he screws up, I can't be mad at him. Also me at 13. Mason, I don't care if you think you're done. You're being disrespectful to me and my class. So check your essay again. You said that if we finish early, we can pull out a book and read. No, I'm not going to go reread my essay. Two hours from now, you're going to grade it and it's going to be an A. Just like every other assignment I turn in for this class that gets you as angry that I'm the smartest person in this room. That's it. Go to detention. I'm not dealing with your attitude today. Thank God. At least in there I can read in peace and quiet instead of being forced to listen to the desperation of a 40-year-old English teacher that tries to insert herself into the clicks and social drama of a 13 and 14-year-old.
