everything I brought back from Florence as a souvenir. First up, I found these two prints. One of Botticelli on the day of San Giovanni, which is a holiday in Florence to celebrate the patron of Florence and which you can see fireworks in the background. And the other, which is my favorite, Venus in Florence purple. I get both from a vintage vending machine inside the workshop of a local artist, her name is Cecilia Falciai. She hand-carves every design into pieces of rubber and then stamps every print herself. To get one, you insert two euros into the vending machine, turn the knob, and then out comes a surprise print. I think it's such a fun souvenir because it's super unique, it fits into your pocket, it's inexpensive, and you're taking home a piece of local art, which is super special in my opinion. Next is this personalized poem. While wandering through Florence, I came across Fraser Logan, who writes three-minute poems on this beautiful vintage typewriter. All you gotta do is give him a prompt and then he starts writing for three minutes straight. Honestly, I was so impressed by the result because even though we only chatted for a couple of minutes, his words resonated so so well. Small disclaimer though, Fraser isn't actually based in Florence, so he won't always be there. So I'd suggest following him on Instagram at @typingforstrangers to see what he's up to at the moment. And also, I do believe that he takes custom poem requests online. And number three, of course, the vintage photo booth. It's a cliché, I know, but I still really love it. It's cheap, it fits into your pocket, and you'll be returning home with something that you'll look at again and again. Plus, the whole experience of taking the photos is also really fun. I used this one, but there are a couple of different photo booths around the city.
