going to Italy these are five souvenirs that are worth making space in your suitcase for. First is Santa Maria Novella. This is considered the world's oldest pharmacy dating back to 1221. They have stores in Rome and all over Italy. But if you're going to Florence, I would suggest going to their oldest flagship store. It's literally a museum there. It's gorgeous. They have perfumes, they have lotions, they have bar soaps. I mean, you name it, they have it. And honestly, it smells beautiful. My favorite scent was Aqua della Regina. I also bought Frizia and I brought back some perfumes for my mom and my sister. Second is Italian leather. I brought back shoes, a backpack for my mom, a little purse for my sister. If you find a well-made piece that you actually use, it's such a better souvenir than just a trinket that you're gonna have on a shelf. These are made in Italy, made by hand and 100% calfskin and they were about €130, which I think is really inexpensive compared to the prices in the US. And you can get the VAT refund. Third is Kiko Milano. Kiko Milano is a traditional Italian makeup and yes, you can find these stores in the US, but they do have specific stores that you can get engravings. There's one in Rome where you could get the Coliseum engraved and I got my name. I actually brought one of these for each of my nieces and I got the Coliseum engraved and their name and I thought it was such a cute little souvenir. But I suggest you checking their website because I know they have engraving locations in Rome. I believe Milan as well. Fourth, if you wanna splurge on yourself, I suggest gold jewelry. I bought these 18 karat gold earrings in Florence as well as this necklace and bracelet set in Venice. You can find gold jewelry all over and Italy is known for their Italian gold, which is usually 18 carats, as well as their Italian craftsmanship. So it's something that's unique to Italy. And I always find it difficult to find 18 karat gold here in the US. And you get the VAT refund. And my last recommendation, which might be the most unexpected, is a block of Pecorino Romano, the cheese over there just tastes so much richer and saltier than the cheese that I can purchase here in the States. And when the post-vacation blues hit, I made some pasta with it, opened up a bottle of Italian wine that I can find here. And at least I got to relive my trip for one more night. So out of all five things, which one would you bring home? And if you like this kind of video more, make sure you like and save and follow for more. Bye.
