Replying to @Laurgentdogs Ruffty #A2263401 desperately needs a hero at North Central Shelter in Los Angeles. This handsome 2-year-old gentleman is in danger of being euthanized unless he is adopted or fostered by Tuesday, July 28th at 4 pm. He has also been labeled “rescue only,” which makes getting him out even more challenging. Ruffty arrived as a stray in April after Animal Control received a call that he was running loose near an apartment complex. The officer who picked him up reported that he “solicited pets, nudged me with his head, laid on the ground, and took rubs on his head, neck, and back.” Volunteers say Ruffty is a charming, sweet, goofy boy who loves toys, lights up for treats, and happily leans into affection. Sadly, the stress has taken a toll on him, causing selectivity with certain dogs in playgroup and a fixation on the water hose that makes cage cleaning difficult. These behaviors, caused by confinement and frustration, have unfairly put Ruffty on death row, and his time is running out. Please consider being a lifesaving foster or adopter. If you cannot, pledge and share his story today. Don’t let Ruffty be forgotten, he deserves so much more than this heartbreaking end. https://www.laanimalservices.com/pet/A2263401 Ruffty is located at North Central Shelter 3201 Lacy Street Los Angeles, CA 90031 888-452-7381 *Rescues please contact: Aimee.Rousey@lacity.org, Jaclyn.Kirkman@lacity.org Jennifer.curiel@lacity.org mario.ochoa@lacity.org veronica.perry@lacity.org #losangelesdogs #ladogs #californiadogs #northcentralshelter
