She must be rescued or adopted before 4 PM on August 18th or she will be euthanized due to her medical issues. Gabbana came into the shelter as a stray in May, and a possible owner never came for her. Since then, this precious little senior has waited day after day for someone to see her, love her, and take her home. Instead, she is now facing the unthinkable. Those lucky enough to know Gabbana describe her as a charismatic little queen with a spunky spirit, a happy smile, and so much love for people. She lights up the yard, adores toys and treats, and gratefully soaks up every bit of affection she is given. Gabbana has participated in playgroups, socializes well with calm dogs, and knows how to communicate when she needs space. Sadly, Gabbana has recurring eye issues believed to be caused by suspected entropion. Her eyes are often irritated and goopy, and both appear to have cataracts. Because she needs medical care, this gentle senior was chosen to lose her life. Entropion is an eyelid condition that can cause painful irritation, and it can be surgically corrected. Gabbana should be spending her golden years in a home, resting on a soft bed and being loved beyond measure. She should not die alone in a kennel simply because she needs help.
