If you're in Jersey struggling to find a nail tech like me, stick around because I'll be doing a series trying all these new recommendations that you guys are leaving in the comments. First up is Elegance Nails in Cranford, New Jersey. When you first walk in, they have you sign in on a tablet where it prints out a little receipt and then you get called up. This place was so beautiful and I didn't know who to specifically go to, so I went with anyone. They ended up giving me the only male nail tech that they had. I love the dry brush that he was using to wipe the dust off. I wasn't noticing anything different from my usual nail salon so far. I wanted to keep it very simple, so I told him I wanted to do a baby pink. I was a little confused with the comments in the last video because what I'm doing is UV hard gel. A lot of you guys were recommending for me to do that, but that's already what I'm doing. This place blew me away when they came around with La Croix. You can't really tell from this video, but the pinky was a little bit longer than the rest of my nails, which I gave him grace and wanted to see if he would fix it on his own. I had also asked him at the beginning if it was okay for me to record and he said yes, of course. He even gave me a phone stand, which I thought was super sweet. This was the number of the actual color that I did. This was just a fill-in, but he took an hour and 45 minutes. I don't know if it was because I was recording, but he was going very slow. Not in a terrible way, but I just feel like he was being super tedious because he saw me recording. Something I've never seen somebody do is put that hard gel over the nail polish and then go in with the clear. Girl, he went above and beyond with this massage too. It was so good. The girl who recommended this place, her nails look absolutely beautiful every time. Turns out I had to go to the younger girl with colored hair. So I'll go to her next time because I'm definitely open to trying this spot out again. These were $66 and I just feel like for a fill-in, it should have just not have taken that long. I will say that they were not lumpy, but the shaping was just a little off to me and I did ask him to fix my pinky, but it could have been better than this. The place was super nice. Everybody was super sweet. Customer service was great. He kept asking if I liked them and I told him, sure, yeah, they're fine because they are okay, but for a simple set, I just feel like it should have been a little better.
