Some people naturally have tear troughs… but they can become more noticeable over time. It’s not always about volume. Chronic muscle tension around the levator labii superioris alaeque nasi (the muscle alongside the nose) and the orbicularis oculi can influence how this area looks. At the same time, tension and heaviness in the lower face can affect the balance of the mid-face. That’s why I never focus on the tear trough alone. In this routine, we gently release the muscles around the nose and eyes while also supporting the mid-face with temporal lifting techniques. Don’t forget the jaw and neck. When the lower face is chronically tense, it can contribute to tissue fullness and heaviness below, making the transition under the eyes appear more noticeable. Beauty is about balance, not chasing one area. Move slowly. Use gentle pressure. Stay consistent. 💛 Save this routine, practice it regularly, and follow for more anatomy-based techniques that help you understand the face as one connected system.
