A downturned mouth doesn’t always reflect how you actually feel. The corners of the mouth are influenced by the balance and habitual tension of several facial muscles. But when I assess this area, I also look beyond the mouth itself: head position, neck tension, platysma and the pull coming from the chest. This technique focuses on releasing the tissues around the corners of the lips without unnecessarily stretching the skin. I see this movement performed incorrectly very often, so pay attention to the direction and placement of my fingers. Save this as your reference for the correct technique and come back to it during your facial massage. 🤍
