Number 1 Car rides do not always mean the park or pup cups. Don't let their excited little voices fool you. One second you might be heading out the window with your tongue out and the next you're on a cold metal table where they judge your weight and inspect your ears. Number 2 Never believe them when they say they'll be right back. That could mean 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 5 days. Many dogs have stared out of windows for hours because they believed those dangerous words. Number 3 Puppies, be careful with the mailman. Humans will hire you as head of security. Then as soon as you sound the alarm from suspicious activity, you could get told to shut the F up. Number 4 Tread lightly with your toys. Humans will encourage you to chew them. But the moment you successfully defeat the squeaker, you'll throw away your greatest achievement. And that concludes today's lesson from a dog that had to learn the hard way.
