Guys, I'm over here. Can you see me? Well, let's talk portfolios and stocks with an interesting backdrop. I'll explain the dive we're going to take in a second. A lot of people today panicking about the markets. When I look at the history of whether my portfolio or one, we actually showed clients generating 41% per annum since 2011. No guarantee it would continue doing that in future, but the reason we show that bit like, pilot training, is to show them. Wait a minute. What did 41% per annum in a portfolio of 20 odd securities look like for the last 15 years? Guess what shocks them? Do you know what it looked like? First of all, it looked like many, many months where virtually every stock dropped, sometimes double digits in that portfolio. It also looked like about 50% positive months, 50% negative months. Can you believe it? Most people get confused by that. And the third characteristic such a whopping return had, you can probably now work it out, there were some stocks which after month, just fell off double digits. Yet that's an example of a portfolio generating 41% per annum since 2011. No guarantee it'll do in the future. But the point of it is not to show you what it might do in the future, it's to show you what strong returns look like. Were you to get such a return in the future, then you too will have a portfolio where some months every stock drops, some double digits, month after month, some stocks keep, falling, falling. And you'll give up hope and you'll panic, some years where you get next to nothing. So you'll get bored. Do you know what making money is about here? Basically, not panicking, not getting bored. When don't you panic or get bored? When you're just around the pool. It's good exercise to remember that. Now go out on a holiday and put it down to getting the mind set right for investing, cause that's what it is. I saved this video, have a look at the links in the bio as well. I'm gonna do some more as well while I wait for everybody to get ready behind me. I'll probably do a tour later on.
