Hook

Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
I didn't think I was going to do a big chop and not vlog about it. Surely not. On Saturday I cut off all of my hair. And as you can see in that clip, whilst I was holding on to length, I wasn't necessarily holding on to help. And there's definitely a word in that about letting go. To be honest, the decision to cut my hair was less rooted in letting go and more rooted in doing whatever I wanted. I have wanted to cut my hair for over a year now. And that's actually what prompted me to go and do it. I said, if I'm going to cut my hair anyway, then I might as well fry and dye it before. And I'm so glad that I did that because the blonde will forever be iconic for me. Now, was I scared to cut my hair? Yes. But when I interrogated why I was scared, it was rooted in how I'd been perceived. And I had to interrogate that society. We live in a society where we dictated. And yet we have so much agency. So I said to myself, girl, step into the new era and do so boldly. I'd be lying if I said I didn't question whether the cutting my hair would impact my social currency. Where values long hair and a curl pattern that's not too defined and not too loose too. I'd also be lying if I said I thought my face card would decline on short hair. I had every faith in it. But the reactions to my hair and when I'd tell people that I was cutting it, it really did have me second guessing for a minute. Last week, I did a wash and go. It was a coffin. Oh, really? It came out so nice. And then I went out and everyone was saying to me, wow, your hair is so beautiful. Like, there. Why? Ahead. Most, feel things doing assessment. Think worst didn't will thing.
