I'm on a mission to save 100,000 pounds this year and I have been tracking it monthly and letting you know where you may be as new as this hair around here. But for any avoidance of doubt, here we are all about financial transparency, financial literacy, teaching you how to make and grow your money and sometimes how to spend it. So let's get straight into it. The sum I've been able to save in July is 10,000 pounds. Which makes our yearly total a whopping 73,000 pounds to date. I don't know about you, but as I'm getting closer to the 100k, I'm really deep in how crazy it is that I've been able to save this much. Before I go into where my money has gone, I want to caveat this by saying that I am not a financial advisor. This is not financial advice, it is just me sharing about my own personal finance in the hopes that financial transparency will give some education, some light and encourage more of these conversations for women who look like me. The four investment vehicles that I'm leveraging for my 100,000 pound savings goal this year, in order of priority are: 1. Stocks & Shares ISA, 2. Pension, 3. HYSA, 4. Premium Bonds. So far this year I have maxed out my ISA at 20,000 pounds. I've then put 29,000 pounds into my pension and the remaining 6,400 pounds is going into my high yield savings account. I'm focusing on my pension and a general investment account. So follow along to see when I hit the 100k because I have a feeling it's going to be sooner than we think. For the month of July, I'm adding another 3,600 pounds into my pension and the remaining 6,400 pounds is going into my high yield savings account. For the rest of the year I'm focusing on my pension and a general investment account. So follow along to see when I hit the 100k because I have a feeling it's going to be sooner than we think.
