We had the Galaxy S9, which had the vertical camera. Then we had the Galaxy S10 the next year, horizontal camera. Then the next year, Samsung went back to vertical cameras, although this time they put it in the corner. And then finally, since, Samsung did keep it vertical, although on the S21, they gave it a little housing which looked like that. For the S22 base model, although they removed out on the S22 Ultra, and then finally settled with a new housing to the S23 series.
