i got laid off big4 because i changed teams every year

if you join consulting and think "i'm going to leave to do my own thing after 2 years" don't get fall for the trap of climbing the corporate ladder and getting promoted quickly. I've seen it happen with so many of my friends in consulting or banking, and they claim they dream of starting their own thing one day, and yet, 5 years later they are still there doing the same thing. if you really want to use consulting as a stepping stone to entrepreneurship, my advice is try to get laid off. prioritize learning. talk to everybody in all the industries you have access to. since you have that company email you can access all the resources, the entire rolodex of every single director, partner in the firm who touch pretty much every company in the game i started in the Oracle tech consulting team, cold called my way into the Metaverse team (rip lol), met some lifelong friends and mentors (shoutout grady, you are OG goat) cold called my way into the digital assets team to learn about the financial world, cold called my way into a blockchain technology team, and finally got into the AI Factory. prioritize learning > climbing
