Hook
So who's gonna tell me that I've been trying to learn Spanish the hard way? I'm over here picking up textbooks, I'm reading "uno" means one, "gato" means cat, I'm getting flashcards, quizzing myself. I don't memorize stuff well. This stuff is hard for me. But that's what everybody tells me to do, the most traditional way to learn Spanish. But I've come to find out, there's another way to learn Spanish and it's called comprehensible input. Basically, your brain will subconsciously pick up languages if you just surround yourself with it. If you learn through native Spanish speakers, if you learn through seeing videos, pictures, listening to songs, your brain will pick up on patterns and it's gonna be easier to learn. So I stopped doing what I was doing and I downloaded the app Pualteca, which teaches through comprehensible input. Right off the bat, speaking to real native Spanish speakers, assessing their facial expressions, showing pictures, showing stuff. It's working so much better for me because it's actually working with my brain. I don't actually feel so stupid. This is actually crazy. If you are like me and you've been struggling up as well, look up comprehensible input. It's gonna freaking change your life.
