What I eat in a day on my birthday What I eat in a day except are in Italy and it's my birthday so we're getting all of my favorite foods started off the day in the food capital of Italy also where mortadella was invented Bologna so we started off at Simoni with a charcuterie board aged Parmesan local cheeses two types of mortadella as well as salami and prosciutto without a doubt the best charcuterie board I've ever had it was so flavorful soft I almost can't even describe how good it was mixed with the cheeses and a little bit of jam I quite literally couldn't stop Bolognese or ragu was also invented here so I was going to get that but it was just so hot so I stopped off for some wine and chocolate before heading to a grocery store my favorite thing to do in other countries is to try zero sugar pop I love ginger so I got this but it was probably one of the worst drinks I've ever had so to wash it down I went and got some gelato I got two different types I got crema and lemon it was creamy and sweet definitely not my favorite gelato but it was still delightful literally the only thing I've been craving since I've been in Italy is gelato probably because it's almost 100 degrees every single day here quickly hopped on the train to Florence cause I knew I wanted to eat my birthday dinner at Vini e vecchi Sapori we're so kind and gave me some complimentary prosciutto and it ended up being some of the best prosciutto I've ever had I can say the exact same thing about this pasta because it was exquisite it was creamy yet super light it was a saffron based pasta which I loved saffron is one of my favorite flavors crunch from the zucchini paired so well with the al dente pasta I honestly can't even describe how good this was to be honest I was still hungry after cause it was a little bit of a small portion Going for the classic marinara first so I ended up picking up a pizza one of my favorite spots I get half cheese and half marinara because the pizza is so good it doesn't even need cheese I ended up eating a little more than half the pizza and I really wanted gelato after but everything was closed that's my perfect day of birthday eats in Italy
