One lesson that I'm learning as an adult is that you have to categorize people in your life based on how they show up for you and how you show up for them, okay? You cannot project your expectations of how you show up for them onto them, or them being a friend or sister or brother that you are for them. And expect them to reciprocate that energy because they may not have signed up for that in their mind, right? So you have to put people in categories based on how they show up for you and keep that relationship like that. This will also keep you from being disappointed when people don't show up or don't reciprocate the energy or are just like, are just like, not doing what they need to do to maintain the relationship.
