I asked you guys who I should mug next and so many of you requested Zendaya and so many of you requested Zendaya and her top hat! LOL jk, but that would be pretty cool. And honestly with all the iconic look she's been serving us lately I feel like turning her into a regular mug just wouldn't be enough. So uh we're going bigger. We're turning her into a pretty giant vase. And of course the main reference for this piece has to be this look. The one that pretty much gagged the entire internet. This look on its own is already iconic. But the way the wind blows her hair just makes the whole look feel so unreal. Uhm so for this I knew I had to capture that same effect. At the back she has this beautiful messy braid. Making clay look exactly like real hair is definitely beyond my skill level. But I'm going to try my best. I'm using these silicone molds to recreate the braids layering them one by one and then adding more braids on top to build up the hair style. It looks a little messy right now but once she's glazed everything should blend together much more seamlessly and of course she's wearing these gorgeous angelic wings in this look. So I'm gonna replicate that by adding feathers all over the vase curving them like real feathers would. Once again I'm using my silicone molds to help create the feather details. Right now she's still unpainted so it might be a little hard to see the vision but trust me she's gonna look so much better once we give her color. So far I'm really happy with how she's turning. She kind of has this goddess Athena vibe and I'm obsessed with it. This video is already getting pretty long so stay tuned for part two where I'll be glazing her.
