Did this restaurant owner of Joey Tomatoes just blew up her entire business over cake??? We were celebrating a birthday at Joey Tomatoes in Point Pleasant Beach for my 5 year old nephew. Mind you we bought 4 large pies (different toppings) and 10 large drinks. It cost around $250. We called them ahead of time and ask if it was ok to bring a cake. The person on the phone said it was ok. After eating we asked for a knife to cut the cake (we offered to pay any additional fees) and this was the owners reaction. It took the video mid argument. I hate to be that guy, but I just had to take a video of this because this was the craziest thing I've ever experienced. Now if you don't believe the cost of these pizzas would have been around $250. So we're having an argument over paying customers. Any restaurant that you bring outside food too they should be inform before you sit down. It's just courtesy. Hi we're here. We're celebrating a birthday. We brought our own cake. Hope that's OK. There's etiquette. We called ahead. In addition, somebody in the comments said, any restaurant that you bring outside food too, they should be inform before you sit down. It's just courtesy. Hi we're here. We're celebrating a birthday. We brought our own cake. Hope that's OK. There's etiquette. And the original poster said, we called ahead. And I think she's got bigger things to worry about than somebody asking for a birthday cake cutting after spending $250. But honestly, at this point, that's neither here nor there. The way that the owner responded to the customers is really the most concerning thing. And in addition, after seeing this, a lot of people are complaining about the owner's reaction, but the fact that this establishment has so many, like, toxic cleaning products set around the entire restaurant and around food. I don't know much about health violations, but that's what people are saying. Hey, I think she's got bigger things to worry about than somebody asking for a birthday cake cutting after spending $250. And the reviews show how people feel about this. 1.8 stars. So many people have seen this viral video. Now a lot of people are saying things like that last comment, like, well, is it really appropriate to bring outside food to a restaurant? Especially if they called ahead? Or do you think that the customers were wrong and the owner had every right to have this reaction?
