Hook

Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
Is there a certain age that people hit where they're just like, that's it? No more new shit ever. Cuz like I I experience this same thing even working in like the trades where like some of the older dudes that have been doing this for 30 years I would work with and they would just adamentally hate new power tools that were like extremely fucking convenient. So like as an elector you have to cut a lot of like metal piping to run wires through, EMT, rigid conduit, whatever it is. And when I was First in apprentice, they had, you know, recently come out with a portable band saw. It's this big, and it's a fucking band saw that you can cut metal with with a battery from like the wall or Maui, pick it up with your hand and cut the pipe. Up until then, everything was either a big machine they were cutting it on or a fucking hack saw. Old guys fucking hated it. I had I had a couple old guys trying to tell me that for my first couple years as an apprentice, they wanted me to cut with a hack saw anyways cuz I needed to know how to do it. I was like, I don't need three years of experience to know how to cut something of the fucking hack saw. Okay, A, I already know how to do it. B, that's stupid. I think I need a. I think doing it. Like or like even the difference between a regular hand drill and an impact drill, they fucking hated the impact drill, which was hilarious cuz I don't know what it was with these older guys. It's like they didn't have I don't know if they didn't play video games. They didn't have any. To them it was zero or 100. So every time they'd go to hit an impact and they go too fast and they fuck up their shit. And I was like, just don't squeeze it all the way. It's fine. Bro. Just have a little sensitivity. You're poor wife. This is fucking awful. Like, what are we doing here? Yeah. People get used to what they did and also people want other people after them. The young bucks have to go through what they did too. And so the idea that like someone like you could come in and be like, hey, we got these really cool new things that can do the job better than like, no.
