This is one of the Biggest Differences Between USA and UK

This is one of the biggest differences between Americans and Brits today. I am talking about drinking culture, more specifically drinking alcohol. A pint at noon in America means you have a problem. A pint at noon in Britain means it's Tuesday. So in America we have bars and you go to bars to drink, pretty easy to understand. But in the UK they have pubs and I always thought pubs were the same as a bar where you just go you drink with your friends and then you go home. But a pub is very different. A pub is essentially where you go to do everything. You'll go to the pub to watch football, you'll take your grandma to the pub, you'll eat a Sunday roast at the pub, you'll take a pub quiz at the pub, you'll go and get pissed at the pub. I've even seen people propose at pubs. When I say everything happens at a British pub, everything happens at a British pub. At home we don't really have that tertiary space. It's either home or work, there's not really that in-between area where you can go hang out with your friends and socialize on a given day. So I love pub culture but I'm gonna warn you Americans, if you ever come over to the UK, if they say "fancy a pint", this can mean one pint or this can mean 47 pint. A Brit could tell their partner they're gonna pop out for a quick one and then show up 11 hours later missing a shoe and having six brand new friends. I have noticed though that this is probably the biggest difference and a lot of my friends that I brought over here, especially the ones that like a drink, have absolutely loved the drinking culture in Britain. But if I miss something drop it down in the comments and what do you think about these differences? I think it's probably the biggest thing that separates Americans and Brits.
