There's two types of people at a wedding. Those that can't wait to dance the night away and then those that dance at a wedding because they would feel like a bad guest if they didn't dance at the wedding. My husband and I are the latter. So we just didn't. And it was great. So we structured the entire night. Also, if you also don't want to dance at yours, you wanted our wedding to be like upscale rehearsal dinner vibes. Ceremony was at 4 PM on Friday night at church. And for the reception, we booked six to 10 PM at the rooftop at Hotel Monaco in Pittsburgh. Longer cocktail hour from 6 to 8 PM. We wanted it to be longer so the people had more time to mingle and hang out. Obviously cocktail hour is the best part of a wedding. So we wanted it to be longer. Also had both displayed appetizers and passed or derves. So there was more food to eat since it was a little bit longer. Everybody went out to their seats. We did a couple of speeches from like 8 to 8:20. And then at 8:20, they started passing out the salads. Then the main course. So people were eating dinner from like 8:40 to 9. And then at 9, we still had an hour left of the venue. People got back up, were mingling, eating dessert, drinking. And then everybody went out to a bar. From like 10 to 12. The best night ever with like 70 of our closest people. So if you don't want to dance, don't.
