Why You’re a Bottomless Pit at Night If you feel like you could eat your entire kitchen after dinner, it’s probably not because you “have no willpower.” Most of the time, it’s because… • You didn’t eat enough during the day. • Your meals were low in protein and fiber, so they didn’t keep you full. • You skipped meals to “save calories.” • You’re mentally exhausted from work, kids, or life. • You’ve been telling yourself certain foods are “off limits.” Your body is smart. If it doesn’t get what it needs all day, it’s going to ask for it eventually... and usually when you’re finally sitting still at night. Instead of trying to “have more self-control,” try… ✔️ Eating enough throughout the day. ✔️ Prioritizing protein and fiber at every meal. ✔️ Including foods you actually enjoy. ✔️ Staying hydrated. ✔️ Giving yourself permission to have a planned evening snack if you’re genuinely hungry. The goal isn’t to stop being hungry. The goal is to stop creating hunger that didn’t need to happen in the first place. Hunger isn’t the enemy-underfueling is.
