Bit of a piss take to be honest with you. It's a bit of a scam. That's dumb. It's very American. Boo Jetstar. Jetstar will begin charging passengers to stow luggage in their overhead lockers. The airline said that any bag that doesn't fit under the seat will cost passengers $25 to $52 to be placed in the overhead locker. The new policy is set to come into effect in February 2027, and will scrap the 7kg carry-on weight limit. Our new carry-on baggage model provides more choice to customers while helping to keep Jetstar's fares low. You only pay for what you need. So, we're on the streets of Sydney to see what people think. That is not okay. I feel like Jetstar already charges for every little thing. And I think that's a safety issue too, because people just put like, things on the seat that are not meant to be there. People also are not going to be happy because they're used to traveling with a bag and putting it in a locker. With already the, with the crisis of living and stuff like that it's just making it like, unfeasible kind of thing. I get checked baggage, That makes sense. But even, like a purse or a handbag, you've got to pay for that? It's a bit ridiculous. I don't like it at all. I think it's just a money grab. Would that make you less inclined to want to fly Jetstar? Yeah, 100%. I think so, but I think Jetstar's a good budget option. So I guess like for me, I love Jetstar because of that. Obviously, yeah Yeah, probably. If it's just more like, you want the cheapest option. I'd say the way, I won't fly Jetstar It's that classic, you think you're getting a bargain and then it turns out not to be a bargain.
