2009 I met a random guy while on exchange in Sweden 2009 Somehow... we ended up dating 2009 I landed the "safe" Big 4 corporate job 2009 He still couldn't land a job 2010 Then I quit that job to start a pop-up store 2010 It completely flopped. I was devastated 2010 But he never told me to give up 2010 So I started this little online fashion business called Showpo 2011 After 39 rejections, the 40th interview landed him a six-figure graduate role. 2011 Showpo still wasn't making money 2011 But he never made me feel like I was behind 2012 Then things finally started to click 2012 We somehow hit our first $1M sales month 2013 - 2017 While he built his career, I was building mine. 2018 Eventually I convinced him to join Showpo as CFO 2018 Everyone thought working together would be a terrible idea 2018 We just happen to think about problems completely different 2018 We stay in our own lanes...but challenge each other's thinking everyday 2018 Looking back, that's probably been our biggest advantage 2019 10 years later... we finally got married 2020 Then COVID almost wiped out the business 2020 Around the same time, Lachie arrived 2020 So we rebuilt the business... again 2021 And somehow came back even stronger 2023 Then Rosie joined the family 2026 These days I run Showpo as CEO 2026 He still keeps the business on track as CFO 2026 Different strengths.
