I know we were all very anxiously waiting to see this pencil shaped soap cut. This was my first time making a soap with my own homemade soap scrapers and it actually turned out better than I thought it was going to. I got so many comments saying I should just make the bar in a square and then cut it with a knife after, which I don't know why I didn't think of that. That's absolutely genius. And I did trim these all up with a knife a little bit. However, I think they turned out really well on their own. They didn't need it, but it made it just a little bit more perfect and clean, which I love. So these are the trimmed bars. You can tell the difference, but like I said, I was still really proud of how it just turned out naturally with my scraper. I read a comment that if I did cut them, I should take all the extra pieces called them pencil shavings and sell them in little bags. So that's exactly what I did. These are my 2B Clean pencil shavings and then here are the pencil shaving bags. I only have five.
