Y'all asked….. Here’s how I make Spanish rice that comes out perfect EVERYTIME 🥵🫶🏼 #spanishrice #gringo Okay, surprisingly enough, a lot of you guys want to know how I make my Spanish rice. And I'm Mexican and white, but I grew up with my white family. My man and his family are from Durango, Mexico, and they all live in Texas. So, shout out to my suegra, shout out to my mom. She makes the best Spanish rice, okay? And one day I asked her, like, can you please teach me? She taught me and today I'm gonna teach you. Let's go! First thing you're gonna want to do is heat your water. I'm making two cups of rice, so I'm gonna heat up four cups of water. I don't want it boiling, I just want it hot. Sometimes I'm lazy and I don't wash my rice, but for the sake of this video, I'm washing it so that way I don't get roasted in the comment section. And by the time I'm done rinsing, the water's already at the temperature I want. Add like, I don't know, two tablespoons of oil. And then your rice. We're gonna fry the rice, okay? We want this to become a nice golden brown, like me. You can also add in diced onion and fry it with this. Sauté it with this, but my man doesn't like onion. I don't know how to explain it. He eats tacos without cilantro and onion. Roast him in the comment section. Now that our rice is brown, we're gonna add our water. But be careful 'cause it's gonna make a loud... but don't freak out, okay? You panicked. Add two tablespoons of Knorr caldo de tomate. And then like, I don't know, some black pepper. I like to take just a handful of cilantro, throw it right in the middle. And then one jalapeño, and then just put that off to the side. So once you add all your stuff, then you're gonna put the lid on. You're gonna let this boil for like, three to four minutes. And then after three minutes, you're gonna drop the temperature down to low and you're gonna let this simmer on low for seven minutes, okay? Seven minutes. And while that cooks, clean your kitchen and have a dance break. Yeah! Seven minutes. You're gonna shut off the fire. You're not gonna touch the lid. You're gonna push your back and then you're gonna let her sit for at least 10 minutes. Okay? 10 minutes. And I just let this sit while I cook the rest of dinner. Look at that. Now all that's left to do is to fluff it. And this is my man's plate. Feed your man. Before someone else does.
