I keep seeing people make these crunchy Squishmallow plushies and obviously I needed to figure out how to make one myself 😭🧸 The idea is basically to take a plushie, remove the regular stuffing, make a super crunchy squishy insert using beads and a squishy/slime-like filling, put it inside, and sew the plushie back together. Then when you squeeze it, instead of feeling like a normal stuffed animal, it has that insanely satisfying crunchy texture and ASMR sound. So today was ingredient-hunting day. I started at @Five Below looking for the perfect Squishmallow, but somehow I couldn’t find one I wanted. Then I went to @Michaels Stores to get the beads for that crunchy filling, and finally @CVS Pharmacy came through with the CUTEST @Squishmallows y have everything I need for my first DIY crunchy plushie experiment. I have absolutely no idea how this first attempt is going to turn out, but we’re making the entire crunchy Squishmallow from scratch in Part 2.
