Restaurant standards don’t fall apart because your team forgot what you taught them. They fall apart because somewhere along the way, inconsistency became acceptable. You can set the expectation. You can get everyone to commit to it. But implementation is where the standard becomes real. Chick-fil-A can teach “my pleasure” on day one. But what makes it part of the culture is what happens on day 100 when someone stops doing it. Does leadership correct it? Or walk past it? Because every time you allow something below the standard, you’re teaching your team that the standard was optional. Your culture isn’t built by what you say you expect. It’s built by what you consistently allow.
