We talk about results day as mums. because I because I don't think we talk enough about what it is like for us as mums, I don't think enough of that is shared. And And the night before the exam results, if I'm honest with you, you're probably not gonna sleep very well because because your mind is gonna be racing through every possible outcome, every type every type of emotion that you want to support your child through. Even though you know you can't change a thing, you want to you want to foreshadow every kind of outcome. So So here are my So here are my 5 reminders for you for you as a mom, as a parent. And this might just help you a little with your anxiety, too. So. No. 1. Their their results. Your child's results are not your results. It's them. It's all their results. So if they didn't get what they hoped for, it doesn't mean it doesn't mean that you failed as a mom or as a parent. It is It is not a reflection on you. No. 2. Try not to let. Try Try not to let your anxiety become their you You are already carrying enough. So if you can stay calm on the outside, it gives them it gives them somewhere safe to land so they can be safe with their emotions. They don't need to know your emotions. They're not relevant. Number Number three. Before Before it all happens, just remind yourself is exactly the same person that they were last last week, last month. Piece of paper, some some numbers, whatever. It doesn't change It doesn't change who they are. And my And my 4th tip. Please don't rush to fix So whether So whether they're completely over the moon or they're completely devastated, let them have let them have that moment of whatever their feelings before you before you jump into the solution. Let them feel their own emotions first. Don't project yours. And No. 5. whatever happens, keep reminding keep reminding them and yourself there is always another So this day, this it feels it feels enormous, but it doesn't. Doesn't define Doesn't define the rest of your life. So if you're a lying awake, waking up with a knot in your stomach, worrying, Not.
