25 years on we remember 🤍

25 years ago today, my husband was in New York. He was due to go up the Twin Towers that morning, but was sitting in a nearby café having breakfast when the unimaginable happened. Back home, I spent hours not knowing if he was safe. He was, something I will never stop being grateful for, although what he witnessed that day has never really left him. This photograph of the Twin Towers was bought by him in New York that day. From a shop called ‘Memories of New York’ a shock impulse purchase on the day. Twenty five years later, it sits in our home, and tonight I’ve lit 3 candles beside it. For the 2,977 people who never came home. For everyone who loved them and for all those who carry the memories of that day with them still. 25 years on, we remember. 🤍
