5 things I actually think are worth spending money on as a mom of teens when you're being nagged constantly for various items and various things. But I've got these five items that I really think are worth spending the money on. And I myself have resisted them. I myself have been, I don't really wanna spend the money on these things. Um, I don't want you to be like a sheep following the crowd, using the same as everybody else, you know, be unique. But over time I've come to realise that being part of a community, being part of a crowd is really important, especially teens, especially girls. It's really important from a self-preservation perspective that they fit in, that they do belong. So I have come to understand over several years that it's actually quite important that they do have these kind of things within no matter how much we feel that perhaps they should. So my first item is the Longchamp bag. Now every teen girl wants a vintage. Vintage is a brilliant place to find some really good quality bargains. Um, this per use has been the best amount of money I've ever spent. She uses it every single day for for school, for out of school, she uses it constantly. It has been the most used item I think I've ever purchased for her and I have no regrets in buying that whatsoever. And they all want that bag. So when you really covet something, let them have it. The second thing I really resisted these the Stanley or the Owala. I mean, I think I had a full on mum rant about how I was never buying them a Stanley. Um, if they wanted to, they'd have to use their own money, which they did. And they again, like the Longchamp, they use it every single day at at school. And I have never had to buy another water bottle. Do you know every few weeks you were buying a water bottle because it had broken or it got crushed or it got dented or it got smashed or the lid didn't fit properly anymore or the straw all went funny? Not with these. Not with these. These are long lasting, worth your money investment. And it pains me to say it because I had a full on mum rant about you're not having a Stanley, but it's actually been really useful. Again, number three, Soulja Boy. I mean, it became a cult obsession, didn't it? But they smell lovely. They absolutely smell lovely. And if it encourages themselves to take pride in and look after themselves and have a bit of sense of, you know, I feel I smell good. And it's really nice stuff and it lasts and they spray it and it stays with them. It's not one of these that you spray it and then five minutes later you can't smell it. It actually and it's a really pleasant thing. So I do think Salt & Pepper is worth the money. And also I think their body cream is worth the money too. The other thing is a pair of good headphones. Spend the money on a pair of good headphones. I didn't at the start. I just got cheap ones off Amazon. They kept breaking, they didn't work. And as you know, as a mom of teens, they have these in 24 hours a day. So get a good pair. And if you particularly with a brand like Apple, they sort it out for you. So I do think that's worth the money. And my final thing is skincare. Not expensive skincare. CeraVe. This is brilliant. The moisturiser is fantastic. That, the face cream is absolutely it's really, really affordable. It's really good stuff for teen skin and I use it on my own. It's brilliant. So those are my five things. Decent Longchamp bag, a decent water bottle, Stanley or Owala. Bit of Seltzener in and make them smell nice. Good headphones, absolute must. And some decent skincare. And I do believe that's worth spending the money on the teens.
