Sherman Oaks, a new taqueria is heading to Ventura Blvd. Escuela Taqueria is opening soon at 13830 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423. Right next to Pizzana Based on the menu from their other location, the taco list alone is deep. Options include cochinita with pickled red onions and habanero salsa, battered langostino tail with pineapple and salsa verde, crispy skin branzino, SRF American Wagyu skirt steak, and a lobster taco with chipotle crema. There are vegetarian options too: roasted poblano with jack cheese, battered cauliflower, and a mushroom taco with shitake, bunapi and enoki. Starters include asada fries loaded with queso and guacamole, nachos you can add chicken tinga or braised green chili to, and a chicken tortilla soup. On the drink side, the margarita and sangria list is just as extensive: frozen margaritas in guava, peach and soursop, a Cadillac Margarita with Gran Marnier, a Spicy Tamarindo made with mezcal, and an Earl Grey infused Sangria Amoré.
