pregnancy doesn’t always mean skipping the exercise, sometimes we just change the setup ✨ here are a few ways I modify common reformer exercises for my pregnant clients: 1️⃣ side plank → bottom knee down for more support + stability 2️⃣ long stretch → knees down to reduce the demand on the core 3️⃣ swan → take it upright to avoid prone positioning 4️⃣ pulling straps → quadruped to avoid prone positioning while still working the back + arms 5️⃣ footwork → side-lying instead of supine 6️⃣ bridging → wedge for an elevated torso + avoid a fully supine position every pregnancy is different, so modifications should always be based on the individual client, trimester, comfort level + guidance from their healthcare provider. 🤍 save this for the next time you have a pregnant client in class! 🤰🏽 #reformerpilates #prenatalpilates #pilatesmodifications #pilatesteachertraining #pilatesinspo
