Welcome back to a series where we turn my rental into cottage style home. My dishwasher was such an eyesore and it's not magnetic so here's how to hide it using a hemmed curtain and velcro. After I hemmed it to the perfect length, about two inches off from the bottom, I sewed a gathering stitch about two inches down from the top. I gathered it till it fit the dishwasher panel and I added it on to see how it looked. One reviewer for this velcro said it held up a picture through a tornado, so I'm not worried about this curtain going anywhere, which is great for kids and I can easily take it off to wash it. It's also removable when I move out of this rental. This was definitely worth the $10 to upgrade. So stay tuned for more cottage style home DIYs.
