This lawsuit claims that the Teddy's mascot is too similar to the Buc-ee's beaver mascot and customers will likely get confused between the two. The lawsuit details that both mascots are cartoons, they both have white highlights in their eyes and nose, and there's a glimpse of a red tongue. It also says that both names, Buc-ee's and Teddies, have two syllables, a hard consonant in the middle of names, and both end in an 's'. So this adds to the long list of other convenience store mascots that Buc-ee's has sued. They've sued a beaver, they've sued an alligator, they've sued a duck, a moose, a koala, and now a teddy bear. Buc-ee's has a strong brand. People go viral with videos of them visiting the store. But they had to be careful that brand cultivated over the course of decades could be destroyed because they might come bullies. There might be a lot of backlash.
