5 things about North Carolina only North Carolinians know. Number one, Food Lion is the best grocery store. I did not say fanciest, but it is the best. It is based in North Carolina. They have one in every town and we love it. They have everything you need, don't. Number two, Bojangles, aka Bojangles, is the best chicken around. Not churches, not Popeyes, not KFC, those are all great. Bojangles, the sweet potato pie, their tea, it is all phenomenal. No. Number three, a lot of people will not agree, but it is true. Duke, UNC, not a rivalry. It is fabricated by ESPN to push ratings. But if you actually look into it, they are in love with each other. There is no hatred between them. The real rivalry is between NC State, which is the farming and engineering school, UNC Chapel Hill, which is the liberal arts school. They think they are better than everyone else. That is where the rivalry is. Number four, Cary, which is the major suburb of Raleigh and Durham, stands for containment area relocated Yankees. It is not really North Carolina. I live here. It is a nice place, but it is full of non-Carolinians. The drivers are aggressive, schools are good, some, but North Carolina at best is North Carolina light. Number five, after NC State, most North Carolina is East Carolina. Everyone is down to earth. Everyone likes to lay back and enjoy life, and at the same time, work hard if they need to.
