Turns out my second oldest didn’t like either hot pocket so it’s a good thing we got the Costco sized pepperoni box. This is everything I'm planning on for the week based on what they chose for their breakfast, lunch, treat, and snack. On our lunch menu, we're gonna include prices, but only for the things that I bought this week. If it's something I bought last week, it's not going into the total. I'm also gonna try to do the out of pocket cost versus the quantity that's gonna be used this week because some of these things last more than a week and I feel like that makes a big difference. Let's start with my oldest first. For breakfast, he wants to have sausage and hash browns. We still had seven hash browns left, so he's got enough to get him through the week, but we did have to buy him sausage. He chose two possible lunches. One of them is a barbecue chicken slider. We have barbecue sauce and then I use canned chicken for his shredded barbecue chicken. But this isn't something I bought this week. This is something I always have on hand. Then I did buy sliced cheese. His other choice was spam musubi, so I do have a can of spam. This will last for his two lunches. But I'm not gonna pull out my 50 pound bag of rice. I'm gonna use these seaweed wraps. For my second oldest breakfast, he chose hot pockets. He said he wanted ranch hot pockets, so I got him four of these chicken bacon ranch and then to fill out the other days of the week, I got him ham and cheese hot pockets. He chose orange chicken. I did buy a new bag of this, but we'll use our old bag first, so this technically doesn't count. This was a restock. Orange chicken sauce is really easy to make, but it's even easier if you find a bottle you like. So this is our bottle from Aldi that I did not have to buy this week. For his second main entree, he chose miso soup. So this is our miso. We keep it in the freezer and then we had to buy tofu to put in the soup. He's obviously not gonna eat an entire Costco pack of tofu. With his miso, he did make a last minute additional request, and that is to have these crab rangoon. And then for my youngest, he definitely jumped on the hot pocket bandwagon. So he has pepperoni hot pockets again. He's gonna eat five or six of these, not all of these. And then for his two lunches, he's gonna go with lo mein, which is a stir-fried noodle. And we'll add tofu to that same lo mein. He also said he'd be interested in shredded carrots and corn for his other lunch option. I actually haven't spent that money yet, like a baguette. So on Wednesday, we're gonna go to a bakery, grab him a fresh baguette, cut it into pieces. He's gonna have a buttered baguette with some laughing cow cheese. Let me talk about the snacks, treats, fruits and veggies for the week. Back when I did the $20 budget, fruits and veggies did not count. But for this, I spend in total? The fruits and veggies. So back to my oldest. He's gonna have blueberry muffins, pretzels, grapes. Let's see. And applesauce. So these are his snack choices for the week. Cucumbers. I also also asked for some snap peas. These will go in his lunch with his main entree. For my second oldest, he picked seaweed to go with his lunches. He also wants pretzels and he also wants mini muffins. And since he's a chocolate fiend, to make him a chocolate zucchini mini muffin, you just add milk, finely grate and it should bake out beautifully. For his orange chicken, I got this broccoli. We'll cook that down, toss it as well. So he's got broccoli, orange chicken, and rice. And for my third born, he wants to have a bulgogi bean salad that he had at Disneyland. So I have chickpeas on hand. We have edamame on hand. I made sure to buy double the cucumbers cause all of my kids like cucumbers. But that's basically chickpeas, edamame, cucumbers, and then tossed in a sweet barbecuey soy glaze sauce. For his other snacks, he chose pretzels and hummus. His favorite kind of hummus is red pepper hummus. And then he wanted both cheese sticks and cheese cubes. So I bought the cheese cubes and then the cheese sticks in the freezer to defrost. For his fruits, I also got a Costco sized container of cherries. This is for all of the boys. They all share the fruit. We have watermelon, we have peaches. These weren't things they specifically chose for their lunch, but they are available to choose from for treats. So I went with chocolate chip cookies, these Hello Panda chocolate cookies, and these Oreo mini ice cream sandwiches. They basically come home from school, ready to decompress, grab a treat and kinda chill for 30 minutes. So this is their after school treat for the day. I don't know the totals of what I spend, but you do. Normally you like to spend $20 per kiddo per week. So let me know if the numbers without the fruits and vegetables are at budget.
