He was returned with a new deadline on his life. DIESEL IS AT RISK OF EUTHANASIA at the Franklin County Dog Shelter in Columbus, OH on MON 8/24 (NO EXTENSIONS!) DEISEL is in NEED of a FOSTER/ADOPTER! ... See more MEET DIESEL PLEASE!! 8YRS OLD, neutered male, pit mix, weighting 64LBS. DIESEL is a handsome senior UP FOR EUTHANASIA DUE TO 'PSYCHOLOGICALLY SUFFERING' in the shelter environment! HE LOST HIS LIFETIME HOME after being surrendered because HIS OWNER COULD NO LONGER CARE FOR HIM.! As a puppy, DIESEL was rescued from DOG FIGHTING, & now this sweet senior finds himself TERRIFIED & unable to settle in a LOUD SHELTER! DIESEL is housebroken, crate trained, & A LOVE BUG! He gives full-body wiggles, loves butt scratches, & adores rolling around in the grass outside. While in an office with staff, he loved receiving treats & briefly playing with toys. Because he gets overwhelmed by the shelter, he struggles with extreme anxiety & needs a calm, patient home where he can decompress & take his meds in PEACE. ➡️ DIESEL lived with men & women in the past, but OLDER RESPECTFUL CHILDREN are recommended! Please note: DEISEL showed resource guarding when a bully stick was taken directly from him (use safe trading!), & he needs a secure crate for separation anxiety. DOG FRIENDLY: DEISEL lived with another male dog in his previous home & co-existed well! In shelter dog tests, he showed neutral-to-curious body language with other dogs. He can lunge on-leash, APARTMENT LIVING IS NOT RECOMMENDED. He requires SLOW, SUPERVISED introductions to DOG friends! CAT STATUS: ABSOLUTELY NO CATS. DIESEL was briefly adopted & RETURNED after going after cats in the home. NO CATS or SMALL ANIMALS. Any PLEDGE amount towards the CARE for DIESEL are APPRECIATED & INCLINE! RESCUES TO PULL!
