Ugh this lawn looks way too good to be doing this but that's kind of the point. It's dethatching and I'm doing this to my entire front yard row by row pulling out all the dead material that's been building up underneath the grass. About halfway through you definitely start questioning your decisions. But I'm not doing this because the lawn looks bad. Doing it because I want to keep it looking like. Getting that excess material out opens things and it gives the lawn a better to keep growing healthy. So by the time I finished the last row, it definitely looks like it's a step and I might be a little bit dirty. But sometimes you gotta make the lawn worse in order to make the grass better.
