Today in my small batch kitchen we're making a single serve crock pot teriyaki chicken. This is the perfect recipe when you're craving takeout but don't want to go get it. And the best part is the crock pot does all the work for you. You want to start by dumping the ingredients for the sauce into the crock pot. They include soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. I used hot honey, but regular honey is fine. And I also added a little bit of Dumpling Daughter's Spicy Sweet Soy. That's because I just got it and I've been trying it out and different ways. But that's an optional ingredient. Then you want to add in about a half a tablespoon of cornstarch and whisk the sauce together until it's well combined. Then you can add in your chicken and some onion. I used a half a chicken breast and a quarter cup of onion. And then you can add in your frozen vegetables. I used stir-fry vegetables and added in a little bit of butter. Stir it up and put the lid back on for about three hours. At that point, you want to add in some cornstarch and whisk the sauce together until it's well combined. I cooked it over this microwaveable rice because I was looking for a little bit more convenience. And I topped it with sesame seeds and green onion. It was so good. This might end up making it into the cookbook. I just started writing. If you want to be on the list to get updates on my cookbook, fill out the form in my bio. I'll also put it in the comments below.
