Let's make some Dave's hot chicken at home. I know you're probably thinking, why are you washing your chicken? Currently, this is what Americans do. And every time I wash my chicken, everyone's like, oh my gosh, is it, if you wouldn't wash your chicken, I would never eat it. You're your own. I'm going to give it a go. I've got some buttermilk, hot sauce, and I'm going to add some spices, some onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, umami seasoning. Also salt and pepper. Wait, I almost forgot some pickle juice. That good mix. Ooh. I'm going to let this marinate for a few hours. Been a few hours. I'm just going to make up the crumb. All those same seasonings that we put in that bowl. Don't be shy with those spices. I'm going to take one wet hand and one dry hand so that you don't get all that clumpy flour on your hands. See that? Look at that. Let's go fry it. We're going to deep fry each one for about 7 to 8 minutes. Hot sauce. It's literally just hot sauce and honey. I'm using Frank's for the hot sauce. Look at that. Ignore the burnt one. Oh. Wow. This is why I'm married. Honestly.
