Client says: “I’ll let you know when I’m ready.” Don’t say “Okay.” You might never hear from them again. Here’s what to do 👇 When a client says “I’ll let you know when I’m ready,” your first mistake is assuming they are rejecting you. Sometimes they aren’t. They may be interested, but something is stopping them. Maybe they’re not convinced yet. Maybe the price feels high. Maybe they need more trust. Maybe they’re comparing you with someone else. Maybe they simply don’t see enough reason to act now. And when you reply with “Okay, no problem,” you quietly end the conversation. You’ve basically told their brain: “Cool. Come back whenever you want.” And the brain loves postponing things. Here’s a simple example. Imagine someone walks into a phone shop and says: “I like this phone, but I’ll let you know when I’m ready.” The salesperson says: “Okay.” The customer walks out. Two weeks later, they’ve forgotten the phone, found another seller, or spent the money somewhere else. The problem wasn’t necessarily the product. The conversation was simply left hanging. Instead, find out what “ready” actually means. You can say: “I completely understand. Just so I know how best to help, is there anything specific you’d like to consider before moving forward?” Now you’ve done something powerful. You didn’t beg. You didn’t pressure them. You didn’t start reducing your price. You opened the conversation again. If they say: “I need to think about the price.” Now you know what the real objection is. If they say: “I’m not sure yet.” You can ask what they’re unsure about. If they say: “I need to wait until next month.” Now you know the timing is the issue. See the difference? “Okay” closes the conversation. A good question keeps the conversation alive. The goal isn’t to force someone to become your client. The goal is to understand what is stopping them from making a decision, then address it properly. That’s what professional communication looks like. And this is exactly the kind of psychology and client communication I break down inside The Client Code. If you keep losing clients during conversations, you’re probably missing something you don’t even know you’re doing. Get The Client Code through the link in my bio.
