Divas, I generally think that what has made me rich today was learning how to stop having such an emotional relationship with money. And I mean that on both ends, both gaining it and losing it or spending it, so to speak. For example, if a huge bill came in, I would go into panic. My body would go into stress mode. And then if a huge check came in, I would freak out. My adrenaline would go through the roof. And sometimes I would even cry because I was so happy. And I eventually realized to my body, those are the exact same things. There is no difference between the joy that is coming from money and the stress that is coming from money. Because my body was only seeing panic, panic whether it's coming in or coming out. And I was telling my nervous system, money is super fuckin important and money equals safety. So I needed to untrain my brain this survival mode so that I could get to a place where money felt neutral to me. One hurdle that I had to overcome was that I kept telling myself, but there is an abundance of everything and abundance of everything. But my brain could intellectually process that and my body was just not meeting me. And I knew that if I wanted to become genuinely wealthy, I had to get to a place where receiving $10,000 did not make me feel invincible. And spending $10,000 didn't make me feel like I was going to die. I needed it to become neutral. So one thing that first started helping me neutralize the concept of money was recognizing that it is everywhere. We put it on this pedestal as if it is not constant in motion around us all the time, 24/7. Somebody paid their electric bill, somebody sold their company for a million dollars, somebody won the lottery, someone paid their babysitter, someone just bought a notebook. It is constantly toot-toot. As I'm making this video, toot-toot-toot-toot-toot everywhere, all over the globe. So why is this thing that is just being spent and used all over me so important? We are the ones that have put this made-up worth on what it means. At the end of the day, it is a man-made thing and it is a barter system. So taking it off of the pedestal was step number one for me. And my brain was understanding it, but my body wasn't. In part two, I'll talk about how I taught my body to actually stop prioritizing money like it was life or death and instead neutralizing it.
