Wait for it… inside the Abuja National Mosque left me speechless I had already seen the massive golden dome of the Abuja National Mosque from around the city, but standing underneath it is a completely different experience. Then I walked inside. Mashallah. The scale of the prayer hall is incredible. You look up and immediately realize how tiny you are compared to this building. Completed in 1984, the mosque has four minarets reaching around 120 meters into the sky and a huge golden central dome around 60 meters high. And one detail really surprised me: there’s an Italian connection to its construction. Lodigiani Nigeria Ltd. was the general contractor behind the project. An Italian company helping build one of Nigeria’s most important Islamic landmarks… definitely not a fact I expected to learn here. 🇮🇹🇳🇬 I’ve visited mosques in countries all around the world, and the interior of this one seriously impressed me. One of the architectural highlights of my time in Abuja. ❤️🇳🇬 #abuja #islam #nigeria
