THESE CHANGED EVERYTHING 👇🏼 These might sound like odd rules… but they’re the reason I’m no longer living in permanent survival mode, especially as someone who’s always been a high achiever. ✨ No phone for the first 30 minutes after I wake up. I don’t start my day reacting to everyone else’s priorities. ✨ I move my body every day. Not for performance - just to regulate my energy. ✨ Max 2 coffees a day, and none after 11am. Anxious energy ≠ productivity. ✨ I’m in bed by 10pm. Sleep isn’t optional when you want to feel good consistently. ✨ When I feel overwhelmed, I slow down on purpose and focus on my breathing. Rushing makes everything feel urgent. It’s usually not. ✨ When everything feels “important”, I ask: what actually matters today? Not everything deserves my energy. ✨ I don’t push through exhaustion just to finish. Finishing isn’t worth burning out for. ✨ I don’t ignore when something feels off in my work. That feeling is usually misalignment trying to get my attention. ✨ I stopped tying my worth to how productive I am. Being busy ≠ being fulfilled. ✨ I pause before saying yes. Automatic yes = guaranteed overwhelm. ✨ I don’t expect my job to fulfil everything in my life. But I also don’t accept it draining everything out of me. ✨ I stopped asking “how do I get through today?” and started asking “how do I want my life to feel?” These rules aren’t about doing more. They’re about building a way of working (and living) that doesn’t burn you out.
