Hook
The day it went public easily felt like the world was closing in on me. So it really is wild that I can sit here now and have such gratitude for it. The reality is, I’m proud of myself. I’m proud of where I’m at and I’m proud of how I got here. There were so many ups and downs, but it taught me how to be secure within the truth even when the world is providing a lot of outside noise. If you think the world is against you, you’re not the only one that has been there. Keep going because one day I was only dealing with the divorce, but I was also dealing with an online narrative that was just simply false. Which, side note, they were still seeing each other. Anyways, I digress. And the truth of the matter is, one, I was never a part of Mom talk. And two, there was a full blown affair happening behind my back. And no doubt we were all making stupid choices for sure. And there were two instances of soft swinging and there were the stupid games being played, but it was convenient for sure to leave out the month long affair. That night, I just remember going to bed and being like, how the hell did I end up here? Pretty soon after that, I deleted all social media and I remember talking to my therapist and he said something along the lines of, if you know the truth and you lived it, then why would you let others opinions matter? And I think this truly was the beginning of me learning how to be confident and secure within the truth versus what the world was now making it. And honestly now, I wouldn't trade anything because I am truly proud of myself and confident in what I lived versus what the world was now making it. And okay. It definitely was not easy to get to this point, but I do hope that if it feels like the world is against you, that you can resonate with me and feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel and it does get better. That's all. Thanks for listening.
