If you're looking for a fun summer day trip from New York City without actually leaving New York, put Greenport, Long Island on your list! We spent the day exploring this charming waterfront town on the North Fork and packed in coffee, lunch, cute shops, waterfront views, ice cream, and even found a hidden beach that gave us major Greece vibes. Not everything went according to plan (two restaurants were closed/booked), but honestly, that made the day even more fun! If you're heading out east, we started our day at Panoramica, this super cute retro futuristic coffee shop with a full espresso bar and light bites. And I love that they use biodegradable paper cups to help cut down on plastic, making them even more super cute and unique! Then we made our way to Eddie's at Silver Sands for lunch. Only to find they didn't have availability for like the next hour. So onto plan B, we headed to the harbour to check out Sailor's Beach House, which recently opened up and has the prettiest panoramic, a panoramic waterfront views. It honestly gives European beach club vibes. One tiny problem: Claudio's Waterfront was closed on Wednesdays. But luckily for us, Claudia's Waterfront was right across the way and was open. So we headed there for lunch. After eating, we walked around the Greenport village, checked out some cute shops and waterfront views, and obviously had some ice cream. We found one of the amazing flavors at a hidden beach that honestly made me feel like I had been transported straight to Milos, Greece. Between the gorgeous waterfront views, great food, charming downtown, and so many hidden gems! Greenport is such a fun Long Island day trip. So if you're looking for somewhere to escape the city for the day, save this Greenport itinerary for your next summer adventure.
